Burt's Bees Natural Skin Solutions for Sensitive Skin - Sensitive Facial Cleanser and Sensitive Daily Moisturizer

I have dry skin which is sensitive from time to time due to eczema.  So, when I heard that Burt's Bees offered a line for sensitive skin, I got super excited!

There are four different products in the Natural Skin Solutions for Sensitive Skin line: Sensitive Facial Cleanser, Sensitive Daily Moisturizer, Sensitive Eye Cream, and Sensitive Night Cream.

According to Burt's Bees, the line contains 99% natural ingredients which are formulated to gently and effectively clean and moisturize your skin without causing redness or irritation.  One of the important ingredients is cotton extract which helps to soften and shield your skin from potential irritants.

I have two of the four products for review today.

Up first, the Facial Cleanser:

Sensitive Facial Cleanser
This soap-free facial cleaner is clinically proven to moisturize sensitive skin while gently cleansing away dirt, oil and makeup without over drying or causing redness or irritation.
Also, it:
› Contains Quillaja, which is extracted from the bark of the Soapbark tree and provides a natural foaming lather
› Contains Yucca, a desert plant high in saponins, which have traditionally been used in cleansing
› Costs $12.99 Cdn

The Facial Cleanser has a thick consistency and a little goes a long way.  Watch out when you squeeze the tube because a lot of product can come out right away.  After washing my face, my skin felt a little tight but not overly dry.

I've been using the facial cleanser for a week and my skin has not reacted in any way.  Usually, when I try a new facial cleanser, my skin gets really red, dry and can start to flake.  Not a pretty picture.  I was surprised that this was not the case after using Burt's Bees facial cleanser every morning and night for a week.

Now onto the daily moisturizer:

Sensitive Daily Moisturizer
This all day, nourishing moisturizer is clinically proven to moisturize sensitive skin without causing redness or irritation.
Also, it:
› Contains Rice Extract to moisturize
› Contains Aloe to soothe
› Is Non-Comedogenic (it won’t clog pores)
› Costs $24.99 Cdn

The great thing about the packaging of the daily moisturizer is the pump.  It keeps everything hygienic especially if you have sensitive skin.  The pump does not give out too much product at once.

The formula is lightweight and my skin just drinks it up.  After application, my face feels moisturized and it stays moisturized all day.

As with the facial cleanser, I've been using the moisturizer every day and twice a day for the past week.  There has been no reaction to the cream.  My face does not have any dry patches nor has it broken out.
