I was really excited to hear that Glossybox was coming to Canada! I signed up as soon as I heard but I was a little bit too late to get their first box in February. Oh well! The wait for the March box was worth it.
So what is Glossybox? Glossybox is a makeup subscription service. Each month, you will receive 5 beauty product samples that ranges from makeup to bath products. Some of the product samples are actual full size products! That's a huge win in my book. The service costs $15 per month but that already includes taxes and shipping. The company started out in Germany and has now expanded to 18 different countries! I believe Glossybox USA is coming soon!
So onto my March box...
In this month's box, I received:
-Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion 71 ml at $2.40 (full size price is 354 ml/$11.99)
-Bailey Fresh Lip Gloss in Berry 8 g at $28 (full size!)
-Pandora's Box Blush in St. Tropez 4g at $18 (full size!)
-Sebastian Re-Shaper Hairspray 43 g at $19.95 (full deluxe size sample?)
-Evian Brumisateur Facial spray 50 ml at $7 (full deluxe size sample)
Bonus: Algemarin Foam Bath 15 ml at $2.39 (5x5ml/$3.99)
Actual cost samples: $77.74!
Now, on to the reviews of the individual products that I received in this month's box.
Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion: I was already an avid user of this product so I was delighted to see a smaller size product in my box that I can tote around in my purse. I have dry skin and eczema (Yay me! =P) so Aveeno is my skin's best friend. It keeps me moisturized all day! Their 24 hour claim for moisturized skin is definitely true.
Bailey Fresh Lip Gloss in Berry: I love the colour of this lip gloss! It is a deep berry colour. The gloss doesn't feel too tacky or sticky. It gave my lips a deeper tint.
Pandora's Box Blush in St. Tropez: In the pan, the blush is a light bright pink. On my skin, it gives me a little pink flush. It is a matte blush with an okay pigmentation. However, you can build up the colour really well. The formula feels great and not at all chalky.
Sebastian Re-Shaper Hairspray: I haven't had the chance to try out this product yet. Also, I'm not sure if this is a full size product. The description card that came along with the box mentioned that the full size hairspray is 43 g for $19.95. The sample given is 43 grams but it just seems too tiny to be a full size product. It is most likely that the product given is a full deluxe size sample rather than a full size product.
Evian Brumisateur Facial Spray: I love facial sprays. They feel so refreshing. I've only used an Avene facial spray before so I can't wait to try out Evian's facial spray.
Algemarin Foam Bath: Again, I haven't had the chance to try out this product yet. I haven't had much time to draw up a bath so I usually just take a shower. First chance I get, I'll try this product out.
Bottom line: March's Glossybox is Makeup Critic approved. It featured 2 full size products all for the cost of $15.
